It's been SO hot in England the last week- it's been beautiful, and sunny but oh-so-hot for Ava. We've embraced it by spending all of our days outside playing, paddling, crafting and gardening. The padding pool, ice lollies, the garden hose and a fan inside have been our saviour this week. Hope you're all well, … Continue reading Heatwave days
Hi friends! As usual, its been a few weeks. As much as I'd love to post more frequently, things are pretty busy here (see last post), so I'm drafting and posting when I can. I have quite a few posts about organisation, family budgeting and more about Barbados coming up- so keep an eye out … Continue reading Our Easter days out- Railways, Zoo’s and Hunts!
It's been a pastel, spring kinda week in this household! We've had some sunnier weather, the garden is coming along, and we've been able to go on some lovely spring walks. Enjoy the weather guys! Xx
Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with either staying at home, working, or anywhere in between. Whatever works, works. But it did get me thinking, CAN you have it all?
Hell, it’s probably only been the last few months that I have truly felt like the mother I thought I would be. And that we all do our best, and we are Amazing at what we do.
Ava is teething, and has a cold, and a cough. She hasn't cried and grizzled like this since the early colic days circa 6-13 weeks. She has bright red cheeks, massive molar gum lumps, a horrible cough and a tired mummy and daddy. We have dosed up, cuddled, distracted, fresh-aired, bounced, cooled and bathed. Most … Continue reading The Little Things
I Absolutely adore this outfit- a loose knit oversized jumper with a cute gold trim bow from H&M, teamed with these awesome, very grown-up looking dungarees. Casual, warm and ever so practical for early starts and Nursery days. Check out the H&M Babywear collection here- a firm faveourite of ours. Xxx
It's been forever since I uploaded one of 'Ava's outfits'- this is one of my favourite at the moment. Gifted to us by her wonderful Godmother, Jo. Both from 'Next', the top underneath can be worn separately and is great with a pair of jeans. Equally, any other colour goes with the soft, felt dress. … Continue reading Cosy grey winters
Ava's naming day was one of the best days on my life, honestly. I was so incredibly proud of her, us and what we have achieved in the last year and it felt like a celebration of that.
This year marks 50 years since Barbados gained its independence and with celebrations and events going on, it was the perfect time to take Ava to Barbados and meet her grandparents, auntie, uncle and cousins for the first time. We didn't think we would make it over this year, but with some late leave granted for … Continue reading Travelling with an infant- our trip to Barbados
